“Be Kind. Give Back”

One of the greatest parts about my time as Miss South Carolina United States are the amazing people that I have gotten to meet. Volunteering and giving back has always been something has is very important to me. I began volunteering at age six at the VA  hospital in Columbia, SC. Meeting the patients, taking them food, and spending time with them always made me realize the importance of doing things to make others smile. Founding my own 501c3 organization in 2004, inspired by my two special needs siblings has given me an incredible opportunity to raise over $100,000 for children with disabilities and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. These kids that I have met along the way are the reason why I do what I do. They light up the room and have so much courage!
